Refraction Tank

A beam of light is shone through a transparent container half filled with water. Angular graduations on the container allow the angle of incident, refracted, and reflected light to be measured both in the water and in the air. The light source may be freely rotated through a 180-degree range.

Setup

Add water till you fill the half disk and add a drop of food colorant. Then connect and see the beam reflect and refract.
