Parabolic Mirror Ignites Flash Paper

A piece of flash paper is colored black and placed at the focus of a parabolic mirror. The mirror is pre-positioned under a lecture hall spot light. The flash paper ignites when the light is turned on.

Setup

Lecture hall spot light does not seem to be working. Use incandescent spotlight on F0 and point it to the mirror. To facilitate ignition, paint flash paper with black marker. You can find the focus point by holding the paper with some tweezers in front of the mirror until you find a bright, warm spot. In room 106, you can do this with the two mirrors that are mounted at either side of the stage. Place a 500 W light source at the focal point of one and aim the roughly collimated spot to the other mirror. Place a piece of flash paper at the focus point of the second mirror, where it'll be quite toasty.
