Two spring-loaded carts simultaneously repel off one another. One may observe the effect of varying the relative amount of mass stacked on the carts.

Set carts on the track and put a block or something heavy at each end of the track to stop the carts. The carts are attached by velcro and the separation is caused by the spring mechanism. To lock spring, push in and wiggle a locking pin in the bottom until it does not shoot out. Carefully place carts on track and operate demo by tapping the pins on the top side of the carts.
