Setup Page For PHYS141 Conservation Laws Lab The setup is so basic there is no need for a photograph of it. ==== Carry over ==== Same pile of parts in the corner which has been used for the first two labs this quarter. * Rods * Clamps, including table edge clamps * Galvanized steel tubing in ~4' lengths * Rulers & meter sticks * Protractors * Calipers * Masses of different types * Mass scales * String * Scissors * Taps * C-clamps * Ring stands ==== Additions ==== In addition to the general collection of components the following need to be setout for each sation. * 1 IoLab device. * Connect each IoLab to the computer and ensure it is paired correctly with its associated dongle. * Check batteries, should be above 2.8V when shown in software. * The IoLab box should include an eye bolt, screwdriver, rigid bumper and the spring attached to a screw. Do NOT include the 2" long stretchy spring, students cannot resist playing with them and stretching them out past the point of failure. * A board to be used as an incline. There are 24" x 9" boards stored under the NE corner of the island bench. {{phylabs:lab_courses:phys-140-wiki-home:fall-experiments:conservation-laws-lab:incline-bards.jpg}}
